About SWI Chapters

College and Community Chapters are utilized to provide services to young ladies 5-25 years. These chapters may be located at designated schools of higher learning, community-wide, or in specific sections of a town or city. Thus, there can be more than one chapter in a given state.

About SWI Founder

Dr. Thornton was a seasoned Lecturer in the School of Education at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. She is a visionary professional with skills in organizational management; teaching methods innovation; diversity and cultural competence training, mentoring, and community based building.
